I'm looking at adding a small 5-shot .38 snubbie to my collection, and I'm looking for the smallest, least bulky speedloader pouch I can find (anyone who carries a revolver with extra ammo in speedloaders knows how bulky those things are on your belt).

Suggestions? It just needs to be big enough for a 5-shot.

EDIT-Also, I prefer snaps, not velcro (but it's not a dealbreaker).

I didn't know those were still being produced. I 've used those for many years and always thought it was a great design. If you find some try it.

Believe it or not, go check out camera shops. They have lots of small, velcro-flapped cordura mini-lens-case belt pouches and the like that work perfectly for speedloaders yet are extremely "stealth" in terms of gunnie-lookin'.

I'm Not Sure...

...if Chris Cunningham offers her horizontal, over-the-belt carrier sized for five-shot speedloaders. I find that the DeSantis Second Six Speedloader Carrier which I believe was originally called the "Split Six, " works just fine with HKS five-shot J-frame speedloaders. If you wear a 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" belt, the Ted Blocker Speedloader Clip is the slickest rig available. As with the DeSantis holder, you straddle the belt with cartridges, then slide the knob of an HKS speedloader into the clip. The clip allows you to grasp the barrel of the speedloader (a much more ergonomic approach than grasping the knob, as you are forced to do with most pouches), then swing the speedloader up and away from the belt.
