Once you get past the silliness of it all, it's not that bad a rifle. Something akin to the Scout Rifle concept - forward-mounted scope, full power cartridge, stripper-clip loading, shortish barrel... might qualify as 'fugly but functional.'

My, bubba has been busy.

I like the concept and creativity, it's just a shame to have been done to a classic Mauser. The way the cheek pad is tacked on kind of seems 'Mad Max'. I'd go for the concept more if it was in 7.62x51 and was a configuration that accepted removable box magazines, but come to think of it, I just really want the Springfield SOCOM scout dealie, and could make that use a standard M-16 bayonet.

Yea. Sometimes "Bubba" gets things done. It might not be pretty, but it works.

I really can't figure out any LOGICAL reason why he didn't just drop the thing into one of those ATI Mauser stocks.

Of course that probably just means that there isn't a logical reason to it.

I figure honestly that with the other reasonable auctions, that he put that thing up as a joke - if it sells, it sells.

Every forum that looks at it will have enough people who look at his other stuff, and increase his chance of selling that stuff.
