Hey Guys-
I have a buddy who is selling a Ruger P-89, 9mm.
Its the SS version with Hogue grips and 2mags.

Dont know much about them, reviews seem to point out that they are built well and shoot well.

He wants $150 for it, what do you all think?
Looks like this-

Probably worth $300, so it is great. As long as it is not stolen or has the serial number filed off.

I've worked with the guy for about 10 years! He is a good guy a friend.
He just has no use for the Ruger-he's more of a cowboy guy!

Has a awesome collection of unfired Colts!
I just wasn't sure of the model or performance of the firearm.

I really dont need it but...:D
You can never have enough...:D

$150 is a superb price if it's in good condition. I paid $300 for my blued P89 6-8 months back. That grip makes it a good shoter-I was amazed at how well I shoot the old tank with a good finger-groove grip.

It sits in your hand like a brick and you can almost feel the slide move back and forth.
It carries even bigger on your hip than a Beratta M-9.

It is accurate and always goes bang. Always.

Get it.

What everyone else said.

When I finally sold mine last year (sold all my 9mm stuff), I had over 4K rounds through it. The only stoppage was a squib load (ammo issue, not the gun). Ran Ruger factory mags and crappy aftermarkets like nobody's business.

I bought the same gun (SS, Hogue Grips, 2 Mags) back in 2001 used for $350. Love the gun! Tell you what - you buy it for $150, I'll give you $200 for it. :)

good price, love mine.only problem for me is,it's to big for CCW with my "full figure" build.if I open carried, that big bad boy would be on my hip.can put a lot of rounds down range. jwr
