does anyone have a source where i can get a crate of 10 yugo sks's? i have seen such a thing at dansammo.com, but it has been there forever and i dont know if he still has it. anyone know how much it would cost? i see it as a potential investment/shtf use, or to sell post-obama election.

from Samco's web site it looks like they might have them...... I have also thought it might be cool to get a crate of the new condition rifles with consecutive serial numbers. Looks like it would be around $1300 for a crate of five if I'm figuring it correctly and there are a few other things I would rather buy for that amount.

Man, what happened to the good old days when you could buy them out of the back of a van in Parker County for 75 bucks apiece and get a thousand rounds free for the asking?

KnockKnock...

:uhoh:

KNOCKKNOCK,

Whos there?

Secret Service ( ATF sulking in bushes ..._)

Whatayawant?

Oh boy, cue the black helicopters.

Look, the guy is apparently asking for reputable dealers who have crates in stock. Not some random backwoods hook-up with rifles sourced from Ghod-knows-where.

#9 , I was aware of that, just havin' some fun. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings.

OP reminded me of this: I was on a framing crew in Tarrant/ Parker counties in the early 90s. A guy goes to the store for lunch break, comes back and says " hey ya'll, look what I just got!" He bought an sks and 1k rounds for 75 bucks. Still in cosmo wrapped in plastic. Well, by the end of the day, almost everyone had a new setup. Hot? maybe, maybe not. Were we all crazy? hell yeah. I ended sellin' mine to my bro. He still has it. We tease each other about it. He hasn't shot it in a long time. I think he is scared of it. It is kind of junky.

We always saw that same van somewhere on a lot or corner sellin' rugs, flags, black velvet, and other things.

I saw that van the other day. Only it was selling rope. The entire thing was packed to the gills with rope!!!:what: Is there going to be an assault rope ban?

I don't much care where they come from. Rifles don't have to be registered, sales, no matter the quantity, don't have to be reported or done through an FFL, right? Who cares if he gets them from a guy who lives in a van down by the river?

Dan's Ammo in PA is worth a look if you still want a crate of them.

I always thought it would make a great coffee table, just put a piece of thick glass on top of the open crate. Great conversation piece at least. Would also be neat since you should be able to get all the extras and maybe consecutive serial numbers.

Good luck with the hunt!

I don't think dansammo has any left. I called a little while back and he said he ran out. You might want to check though. He is a good guy to deal with.
