Other than the RCBS tool that attaches to the trimmer, does any other company make a chamfering/deburring combination tool to allow the reloader to do both simultaneously? I'm doing a few thousand cases a month and I'm VERY tired of doing all of the chamfering and deburring by hand.

A combination tool that I can attach to a drill would be the cat's meow.

Bragood, thanks for the links, but no, not like either of those. I was thinking of something that would both chamfer and debur at the same time. Something I could attach to a drill.

Seems to me that this would be a very handy device. I'm wondering why something hasn't been made yet to do both tasks simultaneously. Odd. Perhaps it would be impossible to get it just right and you would need one for each caliber?

Hmmmm........

Oh I think I understand now! I was actually thinking of that the other day myself. The only problem I would see would be getting the angle to work so that it would work on neck walls that were different thicknesses.

I use the lyman case prep kit, it comes with a handcrank system that I keep the inside/outside deburr pc.(comes with) it also includes the primerpocket military crimp remover that I chucked on my cordless drill, I mounted the crank next to my case trimmer, after trimming I just move over to the lyman and deburr/chamfer in one easy step with a couple of spins, made my process a lot faster, any crimped primer pockets get a quick hit with the cordless and on I go, the case prep kit was +/- $26 from natches shooting supplys I also found it at midways.

I just use the Lee case trimmer lock stud, mounted in my cordless. Then a hand held chamfer/debur tool. On goes the the drill, chamfer, flip the tool, debur, off goes the drill, in goes a new piece of brass. Works fast enough for my needs.

Uncle Chan. I believe I know what you are after. Except I doubt that it is out there as it would be caliber specific. You want a tool that has both the chamfer and outside deburing capability so you can do both in one twist. It would need to have a set parameter so you wouldn't over cut the case effecting the case length. With this in mind...You would need one for .30, 9mm, .38, .270 and so on. Could get expensive. And that may be why they are either hard to find or don't exist.

The lyman tool I wrote about is cone shaped with a slot cut to do the chamfer, along this cut is a teardrop shaped metal piece that gets adjusted anywhere on the cone to provide the deburr, with this method it can be adjusted to work on all calibers and the deburr/chamfer is controled by the pressure you apply with the case and the cranks of the handle, I can't spend a lot on my tools so this works just fine for me, if you have a few hundred laying around you can find some of the powered ones that do the same thing.

I guess it might depend on what case length trimmer you're using. If you're using the lyman, "Chamfer/Deburr Accessory Tool" would be fine. http://lymanproducts.com/lyman/case-trimmers/trimmer-accessories.php

You might be able to chuck that in a drill.

I looked at the Dillon site.. I know they used to have a power (low RPM) case prep station that had four virtical heads out of a block, One with a brush, a lube swab, chamfer and debur stations. My friend has one and it's quite slick. Unfortunately I don't see it listed online. You might call them. If I were doing thousands of rounds at a session, that's what I'd look for.

Very similar to the RCBS version https://shop.rcbs.com/WebConnect/Ma...oductDisplay&screenlabel=index&productId=3170

Evilbay has a few listed for cheaper than RCBS online.

You might look at Redding, Forster, or Sinclair for their products.

45ACPUSER,

That will work nicely. I'll chuck it up in my drill and slow the speed down.

Thanks everyone for the assist. Anything to help these old hands is greatly appreciated.
