$400 for a Ruger when many are posting buying them for $269 . You are paying to much. Go to a gun show, youwillfindum there for uncer $300 all day long...

Personally I would sacrifice in size a little if I needed a .380.... Bersa Thunder Plus holds 16 rounds total.

From what I have read they don't jam/ malfunction like the p3at & lcp.

If I had to have something with the smallest possible footprint I think the NAA Gaurdian in .32 NAA is the best option; however, now you have something small that weighs a lot.

I have a Bersa Thunder + that holds 16 rounds and it doesn't jam or malfunction, I also have two Kel-Tec 380s and they also don't jam or malfunction.

I don't own a p3at but it "seems" from reading that p3at owners fit into a few different categories.

1. People who don't seem to ave any issues with there p3at

2. People who sent their guns back to Kel-Tek, and now their guns are "ok"

3. People who had to fix there own Kel-Tecs by polishing the feed ramps, et cetera.

I'm not knocking Keltecs at all. In fact I would buy one if there were any available around here. Same goes for the LCP. Going to a gun show this weekend so hopefully I'll find what I am looking for.

alittle Pee-oded

My dealer got in ONE karh P380 today and sold it in 5 minutes. I have called him every day for 2 weeks and today I waslate calling and he sold it. I expressed my concern that I have called long distance for the last two weeks, and he basically didn't care one way or the other..

I had offered way back when to give him 50% down even and to call and I would be there the next day (100miles) and he said no we don't do that. Must be nice when business is so good that u can dictate how u are going to sell things. And indeed gun sales are just out of site right now.

So I bit my toungue and will continue calling this dealer and others around also, still hoping.

But the kahr P380 is startign to surface here and there..so it seems.

My mustang pocketlite is 14 oz IIRC and light enough that I never noticed it and have never thought that i wished it weighed less. Would 1 ounce be enough to make a difference? thats like 28 grams. I find it difficult to believe it would. 15 oz is still pretty light although an ounce heavier than a PM9 before one accounts for the differing ammo.

I will say that taken as a percentage 9 oz is notably less than 15 oz. In real world difference in terms of pocket carry and shooting I am less convinced that it is a great advantage. In fact in a real small pistol I don't mind a little more weight to aid in control. I believe small and light have diminishing returns at a certain point. Small and light start to compromise user friendliness as some point. If I greatly preferred pistol A over pistol B those six ounces alone wouldn't sway me. If all other factors were equal including perceived recoil then why not have a pistol 6 oz lighter.

The real issue with both the Khar and the Sig, in my mind, is that they are unproven. Is there even an ETA or an MSRP on that Sig? Is it for sure going to be released? The gun world has been waiting years on certain guns announced at the SHOT show.

Both designs look great on paper and greatly interest me. Both are firmly in my wait and see category for now. The Khar will need to prove it can do something the KT/LCP cannot in order to justify its notably higher price. I think one of the things this needs to be is high reliability right out of the box. It needs to run like a top. If it has even the types of reports the PM9 has that raises begs the question why not buy a pistol just as small and even lighter for much less money? If reliability might be an issue why not roll the dice with less money on the table?
