An indoor .22 rimfire rifle (bullseye-style) meat shoot will be held on the 2nd Sunday of February (the 8th) and each month until Spring, at the Millstadt Sportsmen's Club, a few miles south of Belleville, Illinois on Schmidt Lane. We've been having these periodically and everyone has a hoot.... so the club decided to do it on a regular basis.

The event starts at Noon.

Last month saw some great shooters show up... and the competition was excellent! The bar and kitchen are open for the event and there'll be a warm, toasty fire in the clubhouse's fireplace.

$2 a shot, 16 shooters in a round -- 1 shot per target and the closest shooter to the bull wins the meat. Prizes / types of meat being shot for are T-bones, Ribeyes, Bacon and Beef Roasts... with an occasional round for cash. No scopes or optics. Open sights only, peeps / ghost rings okay. If you want to zero your rifle before the match (recommended), they shoot CCI CB Longs at about 35 feet. Fire any questions or need for directions here. Thanks! Hope to see you there!

There's a house gun, and you're more than welcome to use the (relatively new) Savage .22 with rear peep that belongs to the guy that runs the shoot. It's zero'd for the round, and range, that is being shot... All you have to do is do YOUR job. :)

Hope to see you there! I'll most likely be wearing a "Reelfoot Lake" camo cap. Say howdy.
