I went out a while back and looked at some shotguns for me and the wife and purchased a NEF Pardner Pump Compact 20 ga. In blued steel and walnut along with a 12 Ga. with the same features.
I looked at several other guns like the Mossberg, Maverick, Winchester 1200, Stoeger, etc.
I walked out with the Pardners.
Nice wood, good bluing on reciever, looks to be a blue matte or parkerized finnish on the barrel.
Construction of these guns are excellent and use good steels and solid aluminum billet for trigger group.
Nice and tight build with NO RATTLE!
They are slickening up well and haven't hiccupped, burped, flatulated, jammed, or malfunctioned in my shooting of these two shotguns.
Less than $500 for both.
They are not "cheap' shotguns, just inexpensive shotguns that are well made good field grade shotguns.
The pump I got my wife is a nice ,light ,quick handling unit that fit her 5'1" 120 lb. (She's a hottie!!
) frame just fine.
I have had and worked on most of the pump guns made and feel that the NEF Pardner is a great value that is developing a stong following among folks who like quality and a good value.
