CCW for *ahem* fat guys: which holster/position?

I am 5'10" and about 240lbs, I use to have a scrub board belly but now its a washing machine with spin cylce.:) I carry a Kimber ultra carry on my hip or a revolver in my front pocket. Another thing I noticed is not to carry my wallet in my back pocket, get a more level sit and is easier on the back:D

I'm 5'10", 245 pounds.

I carry a glock 17 at 3:00 in a Comp-Tac Minotaur. With an untucked T-shirt or a hoodie, the gun disappears

I have weighed the same since high school , 5' 10" 165 to 180.

I got chunky for awhile. Man, it's easier to do everything again since I blew all that extra weight out my ass. But while I was heavy, I found small of back carry, including inside rear waistband without holster, very comfortable. The extra folds sort of cradled the gun and kept it in place. Since losing the weight I have to be careful with unholstered rear waistband carry, as the gun will sometimes shift or even fall. So I tend to use a small of back holster by Bianchi if significant body movement is anticipated.

The one I make myself, of course. You don't actually buy marinades, do you?

On-Topic, I'm 6'3" and about 325# ... I can conceal IWB at the 3:30-4:00 position, and don't have to worry too much about what I'm concealing (Walther PPS or Taurus pt111 disappears).
You may want to look into more comfortable pants (I know, work pants may be impossible to change) and longer/fuller shirts.
MrsBFD can't tell if I'm packing, and she knows where it would be.

As far as off-body carry, I have a Maxpedition fatboy on the way for MrsBFD, as she really can't carry on-body unless we drop down to NAA mini-revolver sizes.
 
*Update*

I carried a Smith 37 in a DeSantis nemesis pocket holster for a few months, but after a while the holster came out with the gun more often than not. So I got a Ruger LCP and used the same holster for it... works a treat. The gun is nice and flat. I ordered a Mika pocket holster for the j-frame and it finally came yesterday... I dropped the 37 in it and it works really well also.

I never thought I'd feel like the 37 was too big but after carrying that LCP for a few months... wow.

but the mika really is as good as people say, at least for now. the gun seems to jump right out of the holster. I'll see how it works in a few weeks.

For fat lazy dudes, pocket carry is the way to go. At least for this fat lazy dude. :D
 
I'm 6'8" and 360 lbs. I pocket carry a j frame 90% of the time. The rest of the time I carry a 1911 in a Milt Sparks SSII. Just seems to work the best for me.

I also use a Maxpedition Jumbo for off body carry at times as well. Comes in handy when you have kids, most people dont' give you a second look.

Pretty much anything BUT IWB

IWB will just add strain the already-taxed pant & belt.

These are very high quality holsters.

You could probably get away with "SmartCarry" as well.
