Good thing no-one is buying shotgun rounds in bulk. You can still get a box of 100 or more at Wal-mart for $15 in KC.

Oops, you're right. Not bricks, but Winchester XpertHV Bulk Packs of 500.

Bought some three months ago for the same price - $12.97. Haven't seen any since until tonight. They also had some 9mm, which I also haven't seen.

I was number three in line and got the last of the 22LR.

Lucky. I got robbed at a gunshow for four boxes. 25$ a box. They were right off walmarts shelf. The crazy thing is I felt glad to get them. Five weeks of no 22 anywhere was a total drag.

today my local walmart has about 6-8 boxes of .40 S&W for around 31 dollars, they also had of a few boxes of .357 and 9mm luger, but no .22. it is a shame i did not have anything in those calibers they had in stock. i contemplated buying some and using that as an excuse to buy a firearm in those calibers.

I just got back from wal-mart and got 3 box's for $12.97 also; AND 2 box's of 9mm - one for $8.99 and WWB for $10.99.

That's probably my ammo luck for the month! :)

I think .22 ammo will loosen up this summer, its the 9mm, .45, and .223 that I believe is gone.

Went to buy a brick of .22 (550 rds) they wanted $50. I had to check and make sure I wasn't naked, cause I sure as hello didn't think I was awake.

Just picked up some .22 ammo from Walmart today for my Hord. 5 boxes of CCI and 1 bulk pack of federal 22Lr. They have a 6 limit. they did have some 9MM and 32 but i don't need any of that as I have enough horded.

My Walmart still isn't using a limit and somone is buying it off the pilate before it gets out in the store. They havn't been putting anything on the shelf. I know this for a fact.

No Ammo

I work in at a Dick's Sporting Goods and our ammo is very low but it seems that Remington is the hardest to get, we have replaced our Remington right now with American Eagle it seems most people are looking for 9mm and 40 but right now everything is hard to come by,My understanding is that July we will be back to having too much ammo but that's just what I hear.

I DO NOT need milk or toilet paper, as I A.have both, and B.don't drink milk and leaves/napkins etc wipe my butt just fine.

If only we would all heed the advice of Sheryl Crow and just use one square per sitting, then we really wouldn't be needing all that darn toilet paper.

I'm sorry, I can't help ROTFLMAO every time I hear about toilet paper now.

Good to hear!

I know the three biggest gun-related stores here don't have much ammo at all. Cabelas, Bass Pro, and Gateway Outfitters were pretty much out of most of the popular calibers. Only the very expensive "defense rounds" and such were left the other day - and not many of them either. Cabelas got some 9's, .40's, and .45's - but they had only one brand and were rationing them from behind the counter three days ago....
Lots of .223 available though....

There's been plenty of stories on the mainstream media about ammo shortages.

Now if entrepreneurial "gunnies" would stop ravishing the shelves of Wall-Mart in order to sell to the rest of us at marked up prices (which is EXACTLY what is happening) then there would be plenty of ammo available for everybody at a fair price.

And these idiots who want to make a quick profit are going to end up reducing the number of new gun owners because people won't be able to find ammo. And if you're a new gun owner who hasn't gotten "addicted" to the hobby yet then the $500 you could get for that shiny new gun you can't even shoot is going to look pretty appetizing.

what else is there to say that others haven't yet, ammo production has not increased but gun purchases have and people need to feed those, simply put there is just not enough to go around. The media rather talk about pirates.

This is what I have been saying all along. Ammo manufacturer's are also to blame for giving gov law enforcement and Homeland Security contracts priority over the civilian market.

SG merc you are bang on....unfortunately, while people keep paying the overblown prices, these walmart profiteers will continue to do it.

I hope they end up with a stackload of ammo that they have to sell for a loss....

hit the lottery found some 9mm at walmart....

1st 9mm I have seen in Walmart this year. I purchased 3 boxes of wwb 100ct and left a couple for the next guy. They also had some .40 but no .45.

I have been walking around lucky all day and didn't even know it.
