I'd just like to share that I got my Fl ccw license renewed today - merely one month after having filed the renewal papers. And the renewed license is valid for SEVEN years.

I'm grateful to the authorities in Florida for this.

I have to renew mine yearly, but it's easy to do, just mail it in when they send the reminder.

I noticed the same thing when I renewed by Florida license, and mine took only about a month also. Seven years is nice. My Ohio license is now good for 5 years.

Indiana has you beat!

For the longest lasting permit-move to Indiana. I re-newed last April, and applied for+ received the Lifetime Personal Protection Permit. NO more renewals!!:neener::what::neener:

I guess they're all good for seven years now. Mine was issued last summer, the first one I've had since leaving LE in 1992, and it has a seven-year validity period.

Thanks for the info...

I just got my renewal package in the mail. Glad to hear about the seven year period, the last one was good for four years.

Florida renewal

I got my Florida renewal package in the mail 5 months before the expiration date in the middle of October, 2009. I sent the forms back the same day it arrived with a personal check enclosed, and found the new permit in my mailbox 21 days later. Wow!
