I was just informed by a friend that in North Carolina that starting this year you can now hunt on sunday's and hunt with a crossbow...I was just wondering how true this was? Does anyone know for sure?
Anyone can use a crossbow now in PA as well. I think its ridiculous. Thats like hunting with a gun during archery season. Its much easier to aim and shoot a crossbow than to draw and aim a real bow.

We as hunters should not be at odd's on what type of weapon one use's period.
AMEN!!! As long as it is deemed legal and ethical by a higher authority such as State Government, Fish and Wildlife Departments ...etc.We as hunters should not be at odd's on what type of weapon one use's period.
or all the tendons in my shoulder got fraid and my bicep got ripped and now due to how wonderful workers comp is my other shoulder suffers from massive tendonises. And untill you have hunted with a crossbow to find out it's not as easy as you think it is, you will find that it has alot more limits than a bow does. Range is not as far, alot more weight, much larger and more cumbersome to carry, and so on....If you can't draw and pull a bow easily then your shooting to much pull
No offense to you BPL, but Hunters in Pennsylvania have a lot of hangups.
Its a wondering ya'll haven't lost the right completely, what with the overwhelming nature of nearly every Pennsylvania hunter I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with to criticize everything that isn't their preferred hunting preference.

Posts: 729 If someone wants to go sit in the church house, fine! Let 'em go! But why the hell have some antiquated hipocritical law preventing hunting on Sunday? The fact that a guy can't hunt doesn't mean he'll go listen to the preacher. I'd wager that it doesn't accomplish anything beyond preventing guys from enjoying the outdoors. Are there laws against anything else that are Sunday specific? Can you go fishing on Sunday? Why aren't the hunters out in force to get the crooks (politicians) to change the idiotic law?
