This new little pocket pistol was built from kel tec engineers. They are a new company, but I got to hold this pistol at a recent gun show and was really impressed. Has anyone had some range time with this pistol?
Gun Tests
Diamond Back .380 pocket pistol. Bought May 26, 2010
May 26, 2010 shooting.
8 RN lead reloads shot OK.
10 Berry bullet RN FMJ reloads.
Weak primer strikes on 5th, 9th and 10th rounds.
The slide didn’t pick up and feed the 6th round.
The 7th round jammed on the feed ramp entering the chamber.
15 Remington JHP reloads.
Weak primer strikes on 3rd and 4th round.
Trigger didn’t reset on 12th round.
25 Sellier and Bellot RN FMJ. (factory)
7th round jammed on the feed ramp entering the chamber.
Many primer strikes look weak but all rounds fired OK
Note. I have since found that a unknown brand of primers may be the problem with the light primer strike misfires, but the primers do fire OK in the other .380 pistols.
Winchester primers work OK.

1 round failed to feed from magazine.
1 fired case failed to extract and was left in chamber,

I have 150 rounds through mine. I beleive the problem people are having with there DB's triggers are because of the trigger retaining pin. After 75 rounds i broke the pistol down to check it over. Thats when i noticed the trigger retaining pin was working its way out to the right. I pushed it back into place and now its fine. I beleive that people are not catching this pin movement and when it moves out far enough = broken trigger bar.
Again I love mine and hope that if you buy one it works for you. Also it is hard to say no to company that gives you a lifetime warrenty.

7 S&B shot OK.
7 Brown Bear shot OK---powerful---Deep primer strikes.
7 95gr FMJ---Reloads---shot OK---Deep primer Strikes
7 95gr FMJ---Reloads---Slide did not go forward on the 3rd round.
7 95gr FMJ---Reloads with different powder---OK and accurate
7 Brown Bear---OK but the last case did not fully eject and was trapped
between the slide and top of chamber.
8 Brown Bear---1st and 2nd fired case did not extract from chamber.
7 S&B---OK.
notes
I suspect the Brown Bear can’t cope with the chamber being a little dirty.
I suspect the earlier light primer strikes were CCI primed reloads.
