Well i can say "The P7 is shockingly accurate" but its not with me behind the trigger. My buddy shot it AMAZINGLY well today... i shot it OK... Its different and takes some getting used to when you are shooting more "Common" designed guns. Im still putting way too much tension to hold the cocking lever when it doesn't actually need it.

Anyhow, here are my targets. Im just amazed with the FNP-9mm!... I got it last week for $330 and not only has it been 100% reliable but it is really really accurate as well!... for such a cheap gun it is actually becoming one of my favorites :what:

I have the same gun [FNP-9] and yes, it IS very accurate. Good job on a fine purchase.

I haven't ever shot that HK pistol, but have always wanted to. I heard that it heats up quickly, but I would still like to have one, someday.

The HKP7, if shot fairly quickly, will heat up so much you will have to put it down. I'd never had that problem with it in the year i've owned it until a month ago when I decided to learn to shoot it rapidly and control it. It got so hot after 4 magazines of ammo that it burned one of my fingers.

Normally I shoot pretty slowly and reload leisurely and it had never been anything but really warm which is not a problem.

The trigger on the P7 is amazing.

That was exactly my limit too. It was like magic that 4 mags went through and it got hot enough to notice and instantly got hot enough not to shoot.

Its a different shooting experience thats for sure. Nothing I own or have ever shot even comes close to this. As different as it is going from a Glock to a 1911, its equally as odd going from ANYTHING else to the P7.

If I got a P7, it would be one I wouldn't shoot much. However, I'd have to have a NICE set of wood grips put on it. ;)

I have had a P7 for only a couple of months now after putting it on the back burner for several years. I finally got a Grade C, meaning exterior condition I believe, for a little over 500 from HKSpecialist, Gordon Miller. It's really nicer than what I would consider a C. I love it. I haven't shot the FNP but I have shot a lot of pistols and this P7 is very accurate for me. The trigger is very nice and I love the way the pistol sits low in my hand. I haven't had a problem with the heat buildup because I just haven't fired 4 magazines in rapid fire, I guess. In fact, I don't usually fire any pistol, or rifle, now that I think about it, four or five mags straight in rapid fire on a typical outing.
