I have been meaning to post this for a few days, but have been lazy.
After reading and researching hours and hours on what gun to buy for my CCW, the one gun that kept coming up as the "ultimate" 9mm gun and one of the most accurate and reliable ones was the HK P7 line of guns. There was only one local gun store that had one in stock locally. After examining it and fondling it for about fifteen minutes, I gave in and bought it. I think it is an incredible piece of firearm.
I am here to tell you that all the hype is true about this gun. I have owned a Sig P226 since 1993 and have put over 20K rounds thru it. It has been super reliable and can not say if I have had a single malfunction. It is very accurate as well. But the accuracy of this gun is unmatched.
I don't consider myself a "good shot" by any means. I can put 3inch groups at 15 yards without a bench rest. But the first time I shot the P7M8 I was like wow!
It is freakishly accurate. I am still getting used to the trigger. I think i will send it out to Teddy Jacobson to lighten the trigger.
Here is my 4" caldwell Insta-View target. The P7M8 holds 8+1. This target was shot at 10yards with 9 rounds. You can see that four were bulls eye. Three shots went almost thru the same hole at 2 o'clock and another two that were shot a little high and one a little low. Over all very impressed with this gun.
One of the guys at the range who obviously is a better shot than i am, shot five rounds off hand at 10yards and he made a hole as big as quarter.
