If I assume you Googled it, I would also have to assume that you contacted the three gunsmiths that Google shows on the north side of Austin. Were they not capable of cutting it?

He's south, not north, but I'd recommend Hank Fleming on South Congress, just south of Ben White.

How about Red's in Pflugerville? I am pretty sure they have a smith on site. I took a glock in with a broken spring and they fixed it for $8 (only charged me for the part)

I need a gunsmith preferably in the North Austin area, but really anywhere in Austin to cut down an old single shot .410 into a snake charmer for my mom's place. Any recommendations?

Sportsman's Finest (Bee Caves & 71) has an in house gunsmith, I could call and see what his backlog looked like before heading out there though.

Cedar Ridge is south not north but he has a shop on his property that he works out of and is very knowledgable.

When you say cut down into snake charmer just what do you mean?
