Bob spent his earlier years in the nearby Wilmington Delaware area and one or two of my co-workers were actually employed with Bob and knew him well.
One fellow owned one of Bob's origional "Delaware Maid" specimens which I had the opportunity to examine , a rather crude stacked leather washer job.
The knife, one of Bob's first,(#6) though rough, is definitely priceless.
I tried to emulate Bob's designs in his slab handle offerings and my customers were well pleased.
Another "hit" with folks was the simply designed, easy to fabricate, pouch type leather sheath.
Truly a great man in the annals of custom knife making.
