I have an older Remington Model 7 with three mounting holes. Does anyone make a mount that will work with this carbine so that I can attach a scope in QD rings and use the irons without having to take the mount off?

Not sure what you're looking for, but Leupold makes their turn-in system base for the Rem. M-7.

I've got the one piece mount (Jr.) on one (.223) and two piece bases on my other (7mm08).

Neither offer true detach and replace without a significant shift in Zero. A 2-4" shift is to be expected.

Weaver (Leupold) also offers their "Weaver" style detachable ring and base sets. These are also not true detachable with out a significant shift in zero.

Warne and Talley both offer bases and rings, but I have now experience with either.

Harold,
The Leupold dovetail base that is used for the XP100 pistol will work but unfortunately is not compatable with the QD rings.
I owned one of those old model 7's and used that very setup for it along with the Leupold low dovetail rings.
A great and rigid set up as any.
A good quality 2x7 scope blows iron sites right out of the water.

NO....but get a 'raised' p-rail from Ken Ferrall and have your friendly local smith mill a square slot or U-groove down the center of the rail, I bet you could get this done pretty much anywhere where a descent milling machine exists!

Remember to have the screw holes counter sunk again, because you'll loose most of the original countersink when the slot is milled.

Its been done with a "V" groove also, kinda adds some originality to the look of your creation, BUT you'll have to do this 'after' the rail is mounted on the rifle, as the heads of the screws end up with a v milled into them.

Pull all this down and re-blue, even cold blue will do as it is in a 'low wear' area.

Good luck~
