I was absolutely shocked to find out that someone is bringing back the 44 Automag!

I did some searches and this seems to be news as I did not find a single mention of it in the recent threads.

So here is your chance to get one of these new in the box (like my original one).

I have been sitting on my Pasadena A series Automag since the 80's. I bought it new in the box (don't store it there though!) and never fired it. I have read in the box pictured that it could be broken by certain acts and parts are hard to come by. For example a bolt (if you can find it) is now going for $700. Too rich for my blood, besides how many folks have an original unfired one. Well, actually it was proofed in the factory.

So go hit the site.

I have now reserved mine. I went for another stainless a a bunch of mags to get started. Expensive, yes, but less then another custom 1911 or another Sig 210.

Very Cool!

Being a big fan of "Dirty" Harry Callahan, I would love to have one of these in my collection! (Heck, I just watched "Sudden Impact" this weekend :D)

But I'm afraid they are too rich for my blood. I am saving up for a 6.5" S&W M29-2 however!

That is a beautiful pistol you have there, congrats!

I checked it out, but at $3,100 (blued) or $5,600 (stainless) :what:, the cha-ching factor is too high for me!

We'll have to see what happens with them, but things seem to be in a state of flux right now.

After neglecting their website for weeks and allowing it to fill up with Russian spam, they posted this on 1/16/11:

"Folks, sorry for the spam on the board. We are locking it up until we get a handle on it.

We have been entertaining a buy-out deal that is making our head swim, so we'll let you know once we've taken a decision.

Auto Mag Company"

Buy-out? If that happens, will their prices and schedules go out the window?

For that price,,never, Ever. I will stay with a dependable revolver that can also punch paper as well as protect or hunt.
