I am looking in to a Pasadena .44 Automag that is for sale. The gun has the 6.5" barrel. Serial number is in the 14XX range. The gun is described as being in 98% condition, has the original Automag case, wrench, oil bottle and small wrench. The gun also comes with 2 boxes of Aguilla ammo. The owner states that he has owned the gun for 30 years and has never fired it, although it may have been fired by the previous owner. Asking price is $2200 which sounds decent to me compared to some of the crazy Gunbroker prices I have seen.

If I buy, the biggest problem would be which items I would have to sell out of the safe to fund a purchase like this, because I don't have that much disposable cash laying around. :what:

Also, how durable are these guns? Of course anything can break and it's impossible to predict........but can these guns likely stand up to a shooting regimen of somewhere around 100 to 150 rounds per year over time without certain destruction? I don't even want to think about what parts availability is like. I saw where a spare bolt is $700! Should something break, is there anyone out there that can work on these guns?:what:

I have an AutoMag III in 9mm WinMag and shoot it all the time. It never misses a beat. Not near as popular or "common" as the .44 but still a head turned!
