$3 AK Grip Mod!

The WASR grip sucks. This cost three bucks at the show today and changed my rifle. It might be a sin but I like it.

So you swapped one crappy grip with another crappy grip? Do yourself a favor and invest some money in a decent grip like the hogue. It is only $20.
 
I would do the same thing if I had an AK Fatcat, those grips are just too thin and I have small hands anyway.
 
I did it for fun more than anything Ithica, and by all means buy all the houge grips you want.
 
I would have sent you one free of charge just to see that pic :neener:

I need an AK to fire off all this surplus ammo I have. I have an SKS, but I just don't enjoy shooting it.
 
There is no brand name. Its a US GI grip I bored out, re-drilled abd bolted on with the stock grip nut and a new bolt.
 
If it works for you, great! That is what really matters in the long run. In fact, I personally think it looks kinda' cool! And you only paid $3 for it? Could I ask what gun show you were at?:D
 
I went to a show in Knoxville. Everyone had them for 6 bucks (even used) and then I found brand new ones for for 3! I thought it would take alot of work to make it fit but it was very easy.
 
fat cat, as long as you like it its all good. heck i even did the same thing to my vz58 4 yrs ago:)

Dang I thought I was the first! Oh well... maybe I will have to chop up a glock frame and bolt that grip on.
