Anyone loading and shooting 45 ACP LSWC in & Springfield XDM? Just wondering if they function well in that gun?

Thanks

I tried 200gr LSWC in my XD45... Jammed every time. I've used over 2000 230gr. LRN without a single malfunction... LSWC works fine in my 1911.

XD45 has straight slide rib that causes the extracting case to hit the shoulder of the SWC bullet in the magazine.

XDm45 has modified angled slide rib that allows reliable extraction/feeding of SWC bullets.

So, if you got XDm45, you will be OK shooting SWC bullets.

I have no experience with LSC's in the XDM but they function with total reliability in my SA Trophy Match, S&W945 and S&W M&P45. I use the 185 gr. LSWC's.

I had to give up on SWC's in my XD. Jammed every time. LRN, FMJ, Plated, HP's, everything else feeds just fine.

Iron Sight, I also have the XDm in .45 ACP. bds has it right. The XDm has a hump at the breechface of the slide rib that is an improvement over the standard XD. The XD will have problems shooting SWCs, but the XDm will not.;)

I shoot an M&P .45 and had the "no feed" problem. the fix was to seat the swc about 1/32nd below the edge. _/ \_ worked for me!

I was'nt aware of the improvements made to the XDm45. Learn something new everyday... I wish my XD45 would accept LSWC, but it shoots so well, I can live with it.:D
