Early well worn Python.

This early 60's, well worn Python still has it. The ammo was nothing fancy, just some Berry's 158 hp over 4.7 gr. of Unique. I'd guess my 15 yard from a rest group could be cut in half in the hands of a good pistolero. A couple of days ago, I was considering culling her from the herd, but I guess I'll hang on a bit longer.

They are original 2nd gen grips. The gun is a 1963...about the change over year from gen 1 to gen 2.

That gun has held up great all these years. It looks like it was holstered alot. However, I do not believe it was an uniformed officer's sidearm. They are easy to tell. Usually, one grip side will be banged up badly from hitting door frames and getting seatbelt buckles knocked into it.

I can't tell any difference in the hollow lug vs. my other 4" shooter with a solid lug. I'd guess in a 4" gun the weight difference is less than half an ounce.
