I just got this in the mail today, I thought I'd do a little review of it to get the info out there about it. I ordered this because I was having frequent FTL issues and figured the recoil spring might be the next thing to change up.

Here is how it came out of an envelope, neat packaging IMO:

This is it compared to the old recoil spring, it feels much sturdier and the springs are heavier than the previous one:

And assembled in the slide. I noticed that with this, in its expanded form it is only as long as it needs to be, as in, with the old spring I would have to compress the spring to fit it into the slide and against the barrel link.

Here is how it looks with the gun assembled, looks tidy.

I'm pretty confident in this upgrade, range report to follow tomorrow hopefully. This is for a .45 Jericho I thought I should mention.

Range Report

Just got back from the range and am happy to say that the recoil assembly appears to have cleared up my issues! Shot about 100 rounds through it with two different magazines and didn't experience any failures to load.

As for the recoil reduction, I am not sure if there was a noticeable difference, but I did FEEL as though I was able to realign the sights faster and with more control. Could be in my head though.

Heres how it looked afterward still in the slide, it came out not looking very dirty at all:

And here was a grouping I shot using my carry ammo, Winchester PDX1 bonded and I shot in a hurried fashion (10 rounds in approx. 5 seconds)

note: The two quarters are covering up .357 holes that my dad shot from the hip to get rid of them at the range.
