Hello Everyone,

I put a Pistol/Rifle Reloading Calculator together on EGC.

I have it set up where you need to know how many grains and rounds your anticipating to run. The calculator will also tell you if you need more of something, usually the Powder is what is most helpful in knowing.

Example. I have .5 lbs of powder and I use 18 grains of powder and want to make 55o rounds. I am roughly 1 lb short in powder.

Well check it out and let me know what you think,

Thanks

Jason

Thats Cool

Man alive i lkie that thing i didn't know that i was saving as much as i am WOW on my 500 S&W reloads

Hi Red Cent,

I have seen that calculator before. What I did not like about it is this and we all been there if we reload. I have materials left over from the last run of things. And I want to reload say 200 rounds. My calculator will let you know how much powder you need etc. Yeah it is easy to say I have a three 100 packs of primers and will have enough for 200 rounds, but not always so easy to figure out the powder where my calculator will tell you. I also don't always run a 50 or 1000 rounds, I sometimes run like 200, 250 or even a smaller patch like 25. Seems like the one I created is a bit more flexible.

Good Shooting,

Is this kind of reloading calculator helpful?

Honestly, I don't think it is something that I would use. I can do the math simple enough to figure out my needs.

Good luck with it though.

Thanks Tim

I kind figured most people would be doing it by calculator themselves, My Father does. But he did make a small batch of .308 that were a little hot that I think if he had known how much powder he was going through he would of caught it. It was no fun pullin bullets lol! I think novis folks might have a use to just recheck their math. I found it helpful when I was reloading some 9mm and figured how many rounds needed to use up the powder I had.

Well thanks for your honesty :)

Shows promise. I have been doing my own math with a calculator. A couple things I use to help me figure out costs that I didn't see on your calculator:

• Price per box of 20, Price per box of 50. (Easy comparison to store-bought)
• Estimated reuse of brass (E.g. for rifle, I input 5 times, which divides the cost of the brass by 5.)

The other thing that wasn't real clear to me, as a first time user, was where to put the various numbers into your calculator, and which boxes will be auto filled out.

I like the idea. With some refinement, I think it will be nice.

Well thanks for your honesty

No worries. I think that it could help some folks, but like I said, I don't think I would use it.

I think Waywatcher's suggestions would help.
