Was in the process of talkin with recruiters for the Army when i was seriously injured and the military wont accept me anymore. They have no need for a young man that cant lift more then 50 lbs the rest of is life. Gotta hate back injuries.

I have so much respect for all that serve. So thank you for all you have done to protect my freedoms. Wish i couldve served as well.

Army

1/508 ABCT Vicenza Italy 97-99
3/505 PIR Bragg 99-01
2/63 AR Vilseck Germany 01-05
3/505 again, unit was reflagged as 5/73 Recon 05-08

Civilian now. Bout 20 pounds heavier too - working on that! :neener:

US Army, 20 1/2 years, 19 as a CID Special Agent.

Would have been 20 years and 4 days, but we were having that little disagreement with the gentleman in Iraq at the time, so I had to stay in and guard Atlanta with my .38 and 12 rounds.

Did a heckuva job -- not a single Iraqi got through! :D:neener::neener::neener:

United States Air Force, "SS", Security Service. German, Russian, Chinese, Viet Namese, Korean linguist and radio "Operator". Main weapon was the MC88, R390, SP600, and for a while, ANGLR-1-XW1, Hof Germany. 'Nam was the mind-bending-est trip of all my tours. Like the earlier poster, we were "not there". Hello there, Trooper "ASA" : Remember Dak To, Hoi Anh, Phu Bai, Da Nang City, Hue, Phuc Yen, Air Field Ta Bat, Rao Lao Creek, and others? I think I would like to go see them now, but too many friends call from their graves, "Don't go back." L1S1

Due to shortage of aircraft and most of my practical experience was on Chinooks, I spent most of my time in Germany in the Security Police. I still wonder at their logic.
