It's just like what Ruger did with the SR-22; they took their 10/22 and put some AR-type furniture on it with a bogusly expensive pricetag. This seems a bit more managable, but it's a Plinkster (with a face-lift) with a 10-round maximum on magazines...
 
why, why, why... I see the practical side of polymer and black but with a .22 you can have your choice of furniture and colors... I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I also think we can come to a consensus on beauty and art in many cases and black plastic vs. rich stained walnut or even maple or birch ?
 
I'd probably rather just buy a .22 conversion bolt. Granted thats cheaper than the S&W option
