I was at the Orlando gun show this past weekend, and noticed a dealer that had Jiminez Arms. I looked at this beast, and was amazed to see how[edited] of a job the manufacturer did with machining! It looked almost like a dremel tool was used to machine this thing!!! :barf:

Did this still surprise you when you saw the minimal price? No free lunch there.

We will not even sell them. They are nothing but a big pile of cow crap! Look horrible, feel horrible, and are nothing short of a TURD!! :cuss: :D

"I'm sorry, did I say that out loud just now????" :D:D:D:D

Around where I live they are favorites of the gangsters for those who buy, rather than steal their armaments. Cost is less than new Glocks.

I see people picking them up and talking about how it's "not a bad price" at local gun shows. One of the ffl dealers there told one couple "not bad if you are interested in using it as a small hammer, but even then, you can only use it once"lol.

I never understood why some people do zero research before they show up to buy "something" to protect them.

Some people don't have a lot of money. If you don't have the money for a good quality firearm but you feel threatened by violence, a cheap little gun that shoots is better than nothing for personal protection.

No, Cheap little guns are good for nothing but executing the unsuspecting and getting honest people killed.
If someone really needs a home defense weapon and doesn't have a whole lot of money, a good quality single shot 20 guage shotgun can be purchesed for the same or less than one of those turpy pot metal pistols and it will be far more reliable and effective.

i started out twenty years ago when i first got married with a lorcin .380 ,never failed with ball ammo,as of a year or two ago, that gun is still running, with a different owner but regurly shoots varments with it.

+ a million

I call them Bang, clicks because you never get a second round out of one unless VERY VERY lucky. I wish ALL gang BAngers had them, I would not have to carry a gun myself!

My brother foolishly bought one a few weeks ago and was a bit upset when I told him he bought a cheap piece of zinc.
I advised him to sell it even at a loss and buy something that is better made.
He doesnt listen though.

Yeah, you should have checked out something better, like a lorcin, jennings, or a walther p-1 without the re-enforcing bolt.

I'd get a highpoint before I bought a jiminez. At least those are decent and come with a lifetime warranty.

The Jiminez IS a Jennings. Same machinery, same models. When Jennings closed one of the guys bought all the tooling and reopened it as Jiminez.

Not sure why you're lumping in the P1 though. Without the hex-pin it's not as strong (and I personally went through a lot of trouble to get one with the pin), but realistically it's still a military grade sidearm that is in a whole 'nother category compared to even most decent quality budget handguns offered today, much less the junk like Lorcin and Jennings.

Jiminez/Jennings/Bryco

All are on my guns to never own list.

Davis, Lorcin and Raven are also on that list.

I hear this argument a lot and I have to disagree. If you can afford a cheap gun like a Jennings or Lorcin then you can save up a little bit more and buy something a little more decent. There are plenty of decent quality guns in the $200-$300 category that aren't complete junk, Bersa, Kel-Tec, P64, Makarov, CZ-82, FEG, etc. I see used Kel-Tec and Bersa handguns quite often for around $200 and sometimes much less. If a friend or family member is so down on their luck that all they think they can afford is a Jennings or Lorcin I will be happy to loan them some money if they promise to buy a Bersa or Kel-Tec instead.
