Just got off the phone with a ruger rep..She said they are going to introduce the new sp101-22 cal. in the very near future.Just watch their web site for more info. The gun will have a 4.2" barrel with a fully adjustable rear sight.

If fully adjustable rear sight is correct, I'll be in line also. No time for the 'normal' 101 windage only 'sight'.

took them farkin' long enough. as soon as i find a good price on one, i will buy it. thank god. i was about to have to buy a smith or taurus to get a 22 DA revolver, and really didn't want to have to do that

I will definitely be looking forward to handling one and hearing substantive reviews.

There was a write-up in a recent issue of G&A. I don't regularly read G&A, but looked at a copy at a convenience store, after getting a heads-up on some forum. I have been looking out for a .22 SP101; this re-intro will make my search easier.

The true adjustable rear sight IS a good thing to see! The windage-only rear sight on my .32 H&R is, well, it is there.

I was holding my breath for one of these since I wanted a revolver. Well, they are taking over a month longer to bring it out so I bought a GP100 instead :D

I bought one years ago, the first time around. Gotta say, the SP101 shines in centerfire calibers. Really a snooze-fest with .22lr.

I prefer my .22's in semiauto. But a .22lr revolver is a great gun for teaching new shooters.

Seems I recall somewhere that someone said production would begin Aug. 1st so probably take a while to fill the pipeline before they are released. Anxiously awaiting when they show up at the LGS.
