I want to put a Bipod on my Winchester Model 320 .22 Target Rifle. The only mounting point on the front of the rifle is the hole drilled for a sling, I think that can be used to attach a bipod as well. Please tell me if I'm right and point me towards a nice, inexpensive bipod.

Thanks all.

A Harris is a good choice but on my .22's I have had good luck with the "Winchester" bi-pods from Wally World. They are $39.98 and work just fine for a rimfire. I've said it before....and will continue to say it, If your not taking it to battle and you take care of your gear even alot of the "cheap knockoff" stuff will work fine.

The bi-pod is the only cheap knockoff on my AR. Couldn't see spending 90 bucks for something I was just going to jam in the mud.

Harris is the standard by which all others are judged and I've had more than a few over the years. That said, the last couple of my bipod purchases have been Shooter's Ridge aka Harris clones. Functionally they're just as good and I've had zero problems and I'm pretty tough on them. They're a lot more competitively priced to boot. If you really scrutinize them you can tell that they're not as high quality as a Harris, but that fact has not slowed me down a bit.

"...the hole drilled for a sling..." It have a detachable sling stud? A hole is just a hole without the stud.

Harris is the way to go, IMO. I love mine and will soon be buying another.

Plus, I like the fact they are made here in Western KY.

The only mounting point on the front of the rifle is the hole drilled for a sling,
Screw in a sling stud. The Harris and other brands use this stud and can be installed or removed in about 10 seconds.

I have the small sized Harris (6"-9", I think?). It's been on several of my rifles, and attaches cleanly to the sling or bi-pod stud. No adapter needed. I love it, and it's little rubber feet.
