All 3 are WRA stocks. See the V notch on all 3. There's other things to check but this is the most obvious.

It is not worth doing a restoration, parts are very expensive and it would never be worth what a original Garand would be.
I just sold a very nice completely Correct SA 1944 that I had restored. I could only get $1200.00 out of it. I should have parted it out

You have to use a host such as photobucket they copy it to here.

That works, but you can upload photos directly to THR. Allow me to demonstrate:

attachment.php

Click on "manage attachments," choose the photo, make sure it is small enough (the maximum allowable sizes are listed right there), and upload. Once you do, you can click on the thumbnail, copy the URL, and edit your post to show the full size picture (it's the little picture icon in the menu).

To the OP: Congratulations on a great rifle, I hope it provides you years of enjoyment.

I would leave the rifle alone or at most replace some of the small stuff with Win parts. Restoring the rifle is removing the military history of being re-arsenalled and maybe used in this configuration in Korea. Its perfectly natural to have mixed parts on a rearsenalled rifle. Its different if someone cobbled it together in their basement in 1994 for a sale.

My stock doesnt have the notch cutout it is squared. The p is on the pistol grip without a circle around it and i cannot find any other marks. I think it is an sa from the korean war.

I shot my garand today, Wow was that fun.
Best high powered semiauto on the market for the $$$. $600 at the CMP gets you a sweet shooting, great condition M1. ;) :)

I have a Winchester M1 that I have had since the mid-80's when they first became available. The stock is battle worn 20% blueing left with brown patina and I remember looking up the manufacture date several hears ago in concurrence with the serial number and it was Nov 1941 so it has to be an earlier one. I'll have to get it out again and check for matching numbers.
