and picking up a new Smith&Wesson M&P 9mm compact. I think I may be a little nuts, but need your opinions on this one. Thanks in advance...

PS: I like the fact that the Smith has a real safety...

if you sell it for a a subcom, i'd get a gen4 26. feeds any type of 9mm on the market, including +p+. sometimes the m&p's will choke on +p+.

and before the inevitable "gen4's have issues" posts, the gen4 26 has the exact same upper assembly as the gen3 and has never had any issues.

I also hear the triggers on the M&P are not the greatest. But, I really like the ergonomics of the gun. I also must say that I love my G19, which makes my decision all that much harder...

yeah i owned two m&p's, and sold them. i couldn't hit crap with them lol

the triggers are terrible. the overpriced apex trigger products only slightly improve them too.

this is how i shoot with my glock gen4 26:

You might be a little nuts selling a Glock 19 but go for what works for you. I would be sure to try that M&P before doing so however.

Myself my next pistol will be a Walther PPQ after holding and dry firing one Saturday. WOW what a comfortable pistol and amazing trigger.

First, a few questions...

Are you unhappy with the G19?

If so, then why?

Can you accurately and quickly put lead on target with the G19?

If it's a manual safety that you crave, then let me recommend the Ruger SR9c.
It has a manual safety and the trigger on the SR9c is far far better than the trigger on the M&P.
In fact, the trigger on the SR9c is better than the trigger of any other polymer striker-fired pistol that I have ever shot.

Good luck,
Easy

I've decided to keep the G19. I like the gun way too much to rid myself of it. It's a superior firearm to anything the other guys build. My only concern is the lack of a manual safety. I can live with it though, already have for two years.

Thanks guys...

Good choice, I have sold my favorites and gone back for them. Its better to expand your collection slowly than not at all.
