Update I went into problem status July 19 becuase I didnt print the forms double sided.

I had a transfer sent back to me once because I forgot to fill in one of the boxes. I sent it back corrected, and got my stamp literally a week later. FWIW.

Sent in in February...received reply in June that Schedule A needed to be included...gunstore didn't contact me, got lucky and called them before the 30 days (you get 30 days to resubmit or start over) was up. Faxed the Schedule A and received acceptance in 4 days. (22ndth of July).

Mine just arrived today, so excited for this weekend.

Form 1 on a trust

Sent March 28, 2011
Check Cashed April 12, 2011
Received July 26, 2011

Four months from door to door

Surprised nobody has mentioned this yet. If you havent used this site, add yours to the list.

the home page is sort of a jumbled list of everything, but you can click 'reports' near the top of the page and see organized lists based on type of form, name of examiner, trust vs individual, etc.

Hope this helps.

Form 1 18 weeks
Form 4 21 weeks
Just sent in a form 1 last week.
They seem to be trending longer each time, hopefully this one stays under 6 months!

My form 4 went pending in July and they told my 5 months when I called. I'm still going to call them once a month anyway to check. I'm hoping the Great Pumpkin will bring me a Halloween miracle.

Even though I've had some headaches on tracking, the NFA process was fine. Sent third week of Feb, approved third week of June. Form 4 Trust...first one. I guess I did the paperwork alright!

Form 4 Trust - recent.

Check cashed: 4/8/11
Pending: 4/22/11
Approved 8/11/11
Stamp Arrived: 8/13/11

I also called about another outstanding Form 4 and was told it would be another 5 months on top of the 2.5 months I've waited (went pending 6/22) for an SBS. Having never been told to expect a wait this long before, I stopped into the store from which I purchased it and spoke to their NFA clerk. She stated she hasn't noticed any change in their turn around time and this '5 month' business was news to her.

I suspect the lady answering the phone is just giving a generic answer to cover themselves and quash any false expectations on the part of the consumer - us.

F4 Trust submitted 4/27/11 for a .45 suppressor. Got a call they got paperwork back today 9/22/11 and went and picked it up. First item in trust (an SBR) took 6 months, second, a .22 suppressor took 5 months.

Simple NFA Tracker calculator - http://www.randominfo.net/NFA/NfaWait.php

I am waiting on 3 suppressors (.22LR, 5.56, 45 ACP). All three were paid for in End of February '11 or beginning of March '11 going through a trust. One tax stamp check was on dealer so no telling when that was cashed, but the two that were mine were cashed 07/21/2011 and 08/02/2011. According to this calculator I should start receiving my stamps back sometime in October or November (based upon the % of likelihood). Still waiting....

sent in on July 02
cashed July 06 2011
Pending per nfa on July 20 th after found in system when called today on Oct 12 th.
December maybe

It appears that Form 1s and 4s have a longer wait time since they switched to the "state" system. I had a Form 1 that went in back in mid-March and I had the stamp by the end of May. It appears that most 1s and 4s since June/July have been slowed down and extra two months.

I love it when people change that which is working. :barf:

Thank God! Finally got the stamp and can in hand, today.

Submitted papers: May 21st
Pending: July 5th
Approved: November 12th
Examiner: Snook

I filed through a trust. Now I am about to submit a form 1 for a suppressor build, and submit some applications to create 2 SBR's and an SBS. Hooray bureaucracy; hooray (NFA) Stamp Collecting!!!

Just got word yesterday that the workload for my processor, Sara Jones, is so full that they are just now approving the applications who's tax stamp checks were cashed back in June!! Dealer says that it is now taking significantly longer to get the go ahead on all his customers. Hope to have mine back to me somewhere before the close of 2011.
