Chiappa Citadel M1 Carbine 22LR

Has anybody handled, shot or bought one these yet? Seems pretty cool but I've heard its got quite a bit of plastic on it. Going for $299 at the local Big5.

But might be better to buy one of Sarco 10/22 conversion stocks for $99 to get better quality.

Handled one, incredibly short and light. Rear sight was plastic IIRC. Finish on the metal was kind of icky looking. It looks alright from a distance, but up close it's definitely not a perfect GI M1 Carbine copy. I'm not really a fan.

I was excited about these until reviews started coming in over on rimfirecentral.

I'll be waiting until the second generation before considering buying one. Until then, I'll just console myself with the GI carbines and a 10/22 I rigged up as a triner with Tech Sights and an EABCO stock.
