Im wanting to put a box of stuff together for the range so on days when im in a hurry everything i need is in the box ready to go..so far ive got my benchrest and ear protection and cleaning supplies and targets, tape..etc..what else would be good to put in there

--Ear protection
--Targets
--Staple gun
--A little cleaning spray or for BP a little flask container of 99% alcohol.
--Some flour sack rags
--Cleaning patches
--Spotting scope
--Electrical tape
--Leatherman tool

I will pack up "go bags" in ziplock containers with the range-ready ammo to go with X firearm. Esp. if I'm working handloads up over several weeks and don't want them to get lost in the shuffle.

Donuts & coffee!
No actually, a water bottle isn't a bad idea in this weather though.

In addition to what Cosmoline said.
I keep a zipper bank bag with a few common gunsmith tools in mine.
Small hammer, a pin punch and a brass sight drift, and a screwdriver handle & bits
Seldom ever need them, but when I do, I do.

Also a moon-clip tool for .45 ACP revolvers.

And a small ruler for measuring sight-in scope adjustments needed.

Everything you use except for that days gun(s) and ammo should be in a box. I use one of those big blue plastic ones that has the folding "fingers" at the top
Scope, rests (several), extra ears - muffs and plugs - in case kids/grandkids are coming, extra safety glasses, targets, cleaning gear, some basic tools/screwdrivers, tape or stapler, an extra 250 round box of .22 - sometimes those kids go crazy!, empty 25# shot bags to hold and segregate brass, a marker or two, rag or two, and a folding mat to lay on the table top

Where I used to shoot a lot, the bench tops were concrete so a blanket or similar kept the guns from getting scratched

I only use outdoor ranges, so there's always a bottle of insect repellant in mine during bug season.

blue locktite, gun oil, a tube of gun grease. and baby powder for the big guns.

Things I leave in my range bag (actually not a bag but a big Plano tackle box)... in addition to the obvious, a trauma bandage, paper towels, instructions on how to adjust the laser and holo sights, small assortment of hex keys, gun oil, extra staples :( , extra eye and ear protection and a big hammer to adjust the sights on the AK :banghead:.

I use a plastic detergent bucket for a range box.I keep:
Mag loaders
ear plugs & muffs
bottle of break free
cleaning rod
rags for patches and wipe down cloths

Good stuff. How about spare batteries for all of our electronics. And, if you wear them an extra pair of glasses.

Also forgot to mention my range bag often as not rides to the range in a 5 gal plastic bucket with a lid.

I can set on it when I get tired, and police up the range trash in it when I get done.

All great...keep them comming..i will have plenty of space as im using a big plastic tote..my AR ,magazines , pistol in clip stay in the pelican...and table is obvioulsy seperate(i shoot on private land 95% of the time...i also use a target of 2x4s and playwood so staplegun is a must..loving the feedback guys

I take a roll of construction paper to provide a clean background on the wood frame at the outdoor range. I'm often shooting with a friend and we can get the targets a little tighter and don't have a problem with previous holes looking like fliers.

I save used flip chart pages from the office. I also pack a small roll of Gorilla tape in case it's so windy that staples won't hold. It can also be used to repair target frames.

And depending on the facilities at the range, toilet paper. And something to wash the powder off my hands before driving home.

A couple trash bags are good too.

I use my camo dove hunting bucket with padded seat to store my targets, tape, staple gun, screwdriver set and the hearing and eye protection, hand sanitizer, etc. And yeah, bug spray for this time of year. Tons of chiggers out now!

I keep a small bag of range supplies in my trunk just in case I feel like shooting with my carry gun or shooting a rental.

It basically is:

- Eye protection (just a pair of cheap safety glasses from the hardware store - nothing fancy).
- Ear plugs
- Small targets (I printed out a bunch on regular office paper)
- stapler
- sandbags
- masking tape

My main range "bag" that I don't always keep in the car is really just a big plastic box/bin. It has all of the same stuff, plus:
- Ear-muffs
- Shooting rests
- Chronograph/tripod
- Spotting scope
- Hammer (mostly for driving stakes into the dirt)

speed loaders
rod for squibs if you reload
container or bag for brass if you reload
foam ear plugs for others
extra staples
rag or cloth

also carry a pair of binoculars for reading the chronograph and a range finder to check shooting distance.
