Help with Mini-14 rear sight

During a shooting session I lost not one but both of the small screws that hold the rear sight peep blade in place. I'm having trouble finding out what the size and pitch of the screws are.
I tried Ruger and they were clueless.

This morning my faith in Ruger was restored. I first talked to one of their gunsmiths and he said the screws are 1/64 and they are sending me 4 of them at no charge. I also talked to customer service to return the wrong parts and they are sending me a new sight at no charge and they told me to keep the wrong parts.
Faith restored.

That is the Ruger I always get to deal with.

They always make good on their products if they can.

Maybe 17 years ago, when I owned a mini, I broke one of those screws by using a screwdriver with a bit that was too thick. I called Ruger and asked to buy the screws. They sent me several and wouldn't charge me for them.

Nice to know that some things don't change.
