New indoor gun range to open 2 January.

There is one opening in Frisco, Tx ( north of Dallas) that is making the claim that they will be the nations largest indoor range.

Does anyone have an inside scoop on this and when it's supposed to be open?
 
I know there is the one on the far east side and now far west side, where is the 3rd indoor range?
 
I miss the days when there were few gun ranges, but there were still plenty of places where we could still go shoot. If we could just get all those Damn Yankees (and their descendants) to go back up north where they belong, maybe we could get back to that level of population density.

Yeah, I know -- wishful thinking. Next thing you know, I'll be expecting our politicians to be fiscally responsible. Expecting such a thing is probably an early sign of age dementia. :(
 
I remember when there was nothing but sand out on the North East side.
My uncle took us out there to shoot once. Good times.
 
I had figured that there was enough desert around El Paso that you didn't have to travel far to find empty land to shoot on anyway. Back in the old days, we would just find an old dry creek and shoot there.
 
Problem with going into the desert these days is you don't know who you will run into or who is downrange. So with that in mind I limit my shooting to the Rod and Gun Club and now this new range on the west side of town.

Well the new range opened this morning. There are 2 separate rooms with 7 firing lanes each. The lanes are 25 yards deep. I can't wait to feed a couple of the full auto's that will be available for rent soon. They were well stocked with ammo and even had some AR's for sale. Ammo prices were quite reasonable.

I'll admit the cost of membership was higher than I thought it would be, about 2.5 times that for Ft. Bliss. I am waiting for them to get settled in so I can try renting a few things, the FA is something I want to try at least once.
