seriously?????

How are they "occupying" us? All I saw were a bunch of posts and marches that were really ignorant and blaming inanimate objects and vilifying the NRA. I think they would've been better off to call their movement "we hate guns."

most liberals are calling anyone for guns "uneducated rednecks" and "hillbillys" sticking their noses up and ignoring the fact that this is a very, very sensitive issue. and to be honest, with states claiming to jail federal agents, and supersede federal law, if not treated as sensitively as it needs to be, i fear that this could legitimately end in states succeeding, and a civil war.. compounded by the fact that most "uneducated rednecks" (which lets face it, there is a very broad spectrum of people against gun control) dont support obama... this could end vary badly.

I'm seeing racism on the page basically saying that white folk need their guns like a security blanket.

If you intend to engage these people (anti-gunners) in any debate, you'd do well to read pages like this. Become familiar with their ideology and tactics. Know what methonds they use to convey their message. Counter them both on their terms and with logic.

Know thy enemy.

Unfortunately, I've found you can't reason with ignorant, unreasonable people. They aren't interested in truth. Their misguided phobia has been inflamed by the media, and mass hysteria.

Bring one to a range, or a hunt, if they want to get the "real" picture. Let 'em plink cans or whatever outside.

The killings must stop, but emotions eclipse rational thought with these types of antis. Their myopic views are cemented in their brains with, again, media opportunists, spewing irrational, and wrong information.

The mainstream media has brainwashed so many people into believing that gun control is for their own good that it is nearly impossible to educate anyone.

CNN and MSNBC are definitely not on our side but this is not news to anybody paying attention.

My mom made a comment about getting rid of assault rifles today.... People think they will be safer somehow

It's a Facebook page...anyone can "like" it and join the conversation. Why not occupy the occupy page?

I "like" facebook now that I quit using it. I got so frustrated that my family out in TX are so anti-gun that they started to spew their opinions on my page and it was not worth the fight.

I am focusing my attention to my representatives by snail mail, phone calls and email.

I like the fact they have a MLK quote on there home page...didnt he have a concealed carry permit???

Just because someone has a CCW doesn't mean they won't say "assault weapons have no place on our streets"

MLK applied for and was denied a CC permit.

Got to hand it to the anti-gunners and sympathetic comrades in the media to completely transfer and shift blame for Sandy Hook from a maladjusted little mutant to an organization that represents law-abiding gun owners and promotes gun safety and responsibility.

Their Facebook page likes: 34,103
NRA's Facebook page likes: 2,075,841

So they have about 1.6% of the support of the NRA. I'm not worrying anytime soon.

How much of it did you read? Second thread I opened was a bunch of talk about the Pro 2A guys always leaving out the part about the Well Regulated Militia. About half way down that page was a post about the Feds needed to cull the rightwing'ers like they did in the 90's.

Great site, right... To hell with that.

I have the same situation (and strangely enough, am in ME as well). My SIL, who claims to be pro-gun, posted some supposed quote from Bill C on facebook that said that half of all mass shootings in the US have happened since '95 when the AWB ended. I (I'd like to think nicely) explained how ludicrous and inaccurate that was, and provided statistics to prove her post wrong.
