I have WWII RIFLE with a cross markings on gun with serial no. DON'T KNOW make or caliber. Please help.....

Reciever pic's

Pictures of the reciever [ the part where the bullet sits ].

And the top of the barrel with any writing etc.

it is obviously a velo-dog

And that's my opinion until we see some pictures. Good in-focus pictures of the whole gun, the receiver, any markings on the gun anywhere, the feed system, and the chamber area.

John,

Pictures need to be re-sized to fit this formats size requirements.
Another way is to post them to a site like photobucket and then paste them into your post.

Taking the pictures with a camera as opposed to a phone is the best option if available.

If this is beyond your expertise, you could 'private message' me. Then send me the photos and I'll re-size them and post them for you.

I understand the feeling of being unable to do computer related things quite well! Eleven years to learn how to copy and paste.

Just an option, JT

I going to go further out on a limb and predict it is either a K-31 or a Swedish Mauser.... Does it have a traditional bolt or is it a straight pull with no turning involved to operate?

Just FWIW, the "AR" is just the first two letters of Armalite; it doesn't stand for "Armalite Rifle" or "Assault Rifle".

Jim

My source for the "AR" as the first two letters of ArmaLite was Dick Boutelle.

BTW, my error in spelling the tradename without the capitalized "L".
