gotta love my son

So my boy turns 18 on tuesday. Take him down to cabelas and bass pro today and give him free rome. Tell him pick one out and dont kill me on price. He looks at alot of nice guns, soke cheap ones and a few pretty pricy ones. I told him dont cheap out to much and he really had his eye on a high end benelli. Low and behold he has the guy put it back and looks at me and says dad i want the nova. Made me breath a little easier cus I really didnt feel like droping a grand. so hear he is with a big smile...funny thing is i bought him a car two years ago and he didnt smile this big. But it wasnt that nice of a car.

On a side note bass pro in northwest indiana has lots of various rifel ammo on the shelf. Except 223 or 7.62 but was very pleases with full shelfs of about everything else. Picked up a few boxes of 220 swift. 300 savage. 30/40 krag. 7 x 57.

That actually is one thing my boy is very disapointed about. He was bourn with a problem that will disallow him to be in any service. And that is what his plan was after high school. In fact dc. never wanted him to play sports but he wanted to so we let him. Ended up with a second concussion so wife and i said no more sports and were going to start him in 3 gun so my plan was for christmas to get an modular gun and..well we all know how that worked out. So got him this for now and hopefully by end of year can continue on with that plan. Thanks for the comments guys. I know i remember my first gun so i know he will temember his.
