Last week I received my Type 03 FFL Curio and Relics Collector's license.

I had been under the impression that I would receive something in the way of instructions, guides, or...well, anything at all, but all I got was the license itself in an envelope.

I've been trying to find more info on the ATF's site and don't feel like my understanding is comprehensive at this point, and that troubles me.

So to you C&R guys, did you get some kind of "welcome packet" with your license? And where can I go to find a helpful guide to my new rights and responsibilities?

Thanks!

Ah, cool then. I won't stress about learning the ropes until that shows up.

Thanks!

Last time that I renewed mine, they sent me a CD-Rom disk. Just stuff it in the confuser and read til you go blind.

They first sent me the license, then a few weeks later a CD, then a few more weeks after that a 40-50 page list of regs/rules.

You could also just get a kids marble cover composition book which meets the regulations. Draw a few lines, label a few columns, and you're good to go.

I use this. It's floating around on a few boards. I keep it in a 3 ring binder. This is allowable, even though it's not srictly "bound".

Back in 2010 i got a ton of regulations/books/pamphlets; I just renewed beginning 3/1/13 and have only received the license itself to date. I do hope they send a CD; if they don't in the next couple months, i'll probably call and request one.

whatever you do, don't sign your original license.

Make a bunch of copies and sign those ("wet signed copies")

Send them to everyone and let the fun commence.

SOG and century will create a login for you.

that's where most of mine came from as well.
Also, http://www.classicfirearms.com/ has some real gems also for the cruffler. Fluid stock so you have to check daily.

The first time you take delivery of a rifle or pistol from UPS you'll be hooked, and you can kiss your spare income goodbye
