Got out this morning before the wind picked up to shoot a 2nd quarter rim fire match target and sight the AR in for an up coming steel silloutte match. Had to try to shoot a 200yd group with some new PMC .22lr ammo I picked up. Not bad 4 shots in just over an inch with one flier at 3".

good indeed. I've done some shooting at 200ys with a 22 and am happy to hit a 8" plate. It also made me really want a mil reticle on my 22.

Shot my CZ 452 MT with open sights at 250 yards. Surprised my self with a 6 3/4 inch group. I wonder why long range rimfire shooting isn't more popular?

There's .22 ammo out there. Paid $40 brick for three bricks to get me through the summer. Placed 2 orders through the CMP should be here in next month or so. A .22 is still cheap fun. And long range shooting is a blast. The club I belong to has steel plates at 242yds, fun time dinging them. Have to use the mil dots since I run out of up elevation on the turrets.

NO .22 cartridges !

Shooting at 200yd with a .22 will help you save ammo! It takes so long for the bullet to get there, I always wait and listen for the little thwack of the bullet hitting the backer. Very noticeable wait.

Ford8nr, good shooting there! Playing with .22 in the wind is fun too. The drift at 100yd is about the same as a .223 at 400 yd, so it lets you practice wind calls without needing a range with full pits, spotting discs, etc.
