I felt like shooting a couple of revolvers this morning.

.32-20, .38 Spl, .357, and .45 ACP.

The 12" plate is at about 40 yards. I also bounced an empty water bottle up and down the berm.

That looks like a nice way to spend a afternoon, good looking pistols.

The older i get the less i like to chase brass, plus i love to shoot my wheel guns a lot more then my semi-autos

That's some pure revolver heaven you've got assembled there! Thanks for sharing.

Good collection of Smiths. What is the one with the reflex site on it and how much does it help? I've been thinking about putting one on a new old stock model 28 4" I have but I have never tried one to know how much they help.

40 yds hitting a water bottle is some pretty good shooting.

It sounds like you had a good day. Not chasing brass and buyin lots of magazines are some of the reasons why I prefer revolvers over autos.

Nice man. Glad you had fun.

You know I'm young in my opinion (32), and to me there is nothing better than a good revolver. I see so many people my age that are only interested in shooting AR's and GLOCKS. I have my share of semis, but when it comes down to it, if someone offered to give me a gun, and I had a choice of a semi or a revolver, I'd take the revolver everytime. I feel like an anacranism.

The older gents behind the gun counters seem surprised by my interest every time. They just expect to be showing me a polymer gun.

Is that a model 14? if so, there was a good chance we were shooting the same gun at the same time :)

Some days you just don't want to bend down and do the duck walk.

I asked the LGS to start calling me when they got interesting stuff in, it took a few calls, and me explaining that a glock isn't interesting to me, lol.....but a pristine 14-4 was.

What is the one with the reflex site on it and how much does it help?
586 with an Ultra Dot L/T. In my youth it would have made no difference, but now that the iron sights are fuzzy, it helps to shoot more precisely. I can tell exactly where the gun is aimed vs pretty close.

Is that a model 14?
Yes.

I figured someone would have named all five by now. Being all Smiths was an accident. Not planned at all. :)

So the Colt fans won't feel left out.

Might as well show some love for our Spanish cousins.

Not to take away anything from the Smith crowd, I own 3 of them, I took my Colt .38 Spl 4" Trooper to the range yesterday, had an excellent afternoon. That revolver shoots better every time I take her out, really pleases me too !

Nice.
Speaking of Spanish revolvers, my buddy used to have a Llama (Comanche? Super Comanche?) .357.
It was a sweet shooter, with a very nice trigger.
He never should have sold it.
