Well, I am never going to pass up a good deal and I have been looking for another 4" gun so I bought this 4" GP100 yesterday, you can never have enough stainless guns especially a good Ruger GP in .357 magnum.

How do you like the trigger on that ruger? I keep going back and forth between this and a 686/586

And here I was thinking I was the only one with special edition Wiley Clap model grip inserts on my KGP-141 :neener:

Excellent choice and welcome to the club.

They are limited to the special edition model to my knowledge. I got mine as a gift from Ruger after a factory repair of the firearm. My guess is the same happened here or someone moved the grips from a Wiley Clapp model. With or without them, I think we can all appreciate the Gp100 for its strength and versatility.

Nice gun! I think the grips are beautiful, but I wouldn't want to shoot anything full power using them. The Hogue Tamer is your friend.

Congrats, looks great.
I'm lovin' my new GP100. Best SA trigger I've had on any Ruger. Very smooth in DA as well.

nice looking grips, guys.

i have the compact version on my 3" and find it very comfortable, even with buffalo bore 180gr thumpers.

Likewise my new GP100 3". I bought Used like new about three weeks ago, and it is 2013 production. I have owned a few classic S&W K frames with well used and smoothed triggers, and I like the trigger on my GP best of all.

Ah yes. I bet he's missing several examples. Does he have:

1) Both Wiley Clapp GP100s?
2) All the other TALO editions?
3) Blued copies with three, four and six inch barrels?
4) Lipsey's Exclusive Royal Phoenix
5) All calibers including 327 Federal Magnum and 38 Special?

If not, you have some work to do. I mean...really...you could run out of GP100's one day. What if you dry fired them too much and all the firing pins broke like on my S&W revolvers?

How many sets of Ahrends, Badger, Eagle and Herretts stocks do you have? Those could get scratched, dented or even dinged. What would you wear to the next open carry BBQ? Rubber Hogues won't cut it.

(I kid you not about S&W--I broke my fifth frame or hammer mounted firing pin as of last Friday.)

Have you done a range report on them? I was drooling over those guns in the store. Both had good triggers.

They are very balanced for a 3" , Lot of meat there. Crisp trigger in SA and DA. I went to the shooting range a while back and these WC are so balanced and shoot so sweet, I really like the SS one has such awesome sights in daylifght and it is super accurate. The blued one has great sight picture as well , the Novak sights are sweet. Shooting .38's are great but with the .357 magnum loads it really shows its stuff very fun to shoot holds on target. The grips are awesome and recoil is not as bad as you would think.
