The Glock 26 is one of the most popular carry guns for good reason. I've been carrying the Gen3 G26 for a long time and here's what I've found.

Pros:
-Reliable. The gun has had 0 malfunctions
-Accurate. For s subcompact gun it's relatively easy to shoot well.
-Durable
-Easy to maintain
-TONS of aftermarket support.
-Accepts 15, 17, and 33 round factory magazines
-Glock's customer service is excellent
-Cheap replacement parts, should you ever need them
-Low Bore Axis resulting in a soft shooting gun, especially for the weight.
-Easily modified to fit the shooters' preferences
-Requires very little cleaning/lubrication to run reliably
-Carries well but you still have a 10+1 capacity.

Cons:
-Most shooters will not be able to get amore than 3 fingers on the grip.
-Comes with a serrated trigger (even the US made models)

Here's a video with some shooting, a size comparison with the CM9 & S&W Shield, and a discussion of the pros and cons of the gun.

Thanks for your contribution. My very first polymer pistol and entry into "modern" pistols was the Glock 26 Gen 4 and both my Wife and I love it. It is accurate and trouble free with any ammo we have thrown at it - it fits both of our hands but for me it *is* a 2 finger grip with my pinky hanging off the edge.

Doesn't bother me at all.

How do you feel the Gen 3 G26 compares to the Gen 4? Have you shot the Gen 4 and what are your impressions compared to the Gen 3?

Thanks in advance!

I have both the Gen3 and 4.

If you have small hands the Gen4 is certainly an advantage. Beyond that it's really just a personal preference thing in terms of grip texture.

I use a GAP floorplate on the mag that I carry in my G26. I carried a G30 for several years, until I wised up and acquired a Gen 3 G26.

When used for any purpose other than concealed carry, the G26 handles G19 and G17 mags, just fine. I use A&G sleeves on those longer mags.

I solved my 2 finger grip issue by adding Pearce +1 mag base. Now I have comfortable full 3 finger grip with increased magazine capacity.

Here's my G27 with the mag base.

For pocket carry, I use the standard flat bottom 10 round mag:

For belt carry, I use a Pearce +1 grip extender:

I shot mine at GSSF match last weekend and actually shot it better than my Gen4 17.

I can only get two - and I've never gotten more than three on any handgun grip. If you got four, how would you fire the gun?

The 26 is an amazing little gun. I shoot it very fast with way better accuracy than it should have. It's displaced my G30 as my EDC. The 30 is now my truck gun.
