So due to all the fun I'm having with my contender, I'm kind of thinking of finding myself an Xp100 to re chamber for some amusing caliber. Wondering if anyone on the sight has one and could provide info or pictures. Just kicking around the idea for now. Seems like it would be fun to build one up.

The XP 100 Trigger Balance made for a poor trigger pull that i didnt like. The Xp 100 looks cool. I would pick the Contender over it.

I've got one in .221 Fireball. Haven't used it for anything other'n seeing how small I can group with it at 100. Need to do something about that some day... just imagining a nice warm day spent varmint hunting makes a pretty picture compared to the weather outside at the moment.

I have two, both original .221 Fireball. One appears to be unfired, with the scope, plastic case and original box, haven't shot that one. The other I have shot with what little bit of ammo I had, and I must say it was surprisingly accurate. Yeah it's a cool looking gun and it certainly does garner attention at the range. Anybody got any extra brass???

I've seen them in a number of calibers, and from all reports I've heard they do make very accurate guns.

this xp-100r in rem.260 with a 2.5x8 leupold scope is amazing and shoots better than most rifles. with RL-19 and 129gr sst bullets its a tack driver. you will be surprized by how well they shoot. eastbank.

Anybody got any extra brass???

I found a bag at Cabales a couple of weeks ago. They didn't even know they had it. I bought for a friend who usually makes it from .223.

Redding makes a case forming die and a case trim die for forming the .221 Fireball out of .223 or .222 brass.

Always wanted one, but passed and got a Contender, due to cost. Still considered one when I found it in a custom package in .308 Win, and I had more money. Still passed, but have always regretted it, even though it was $$$$.

I'll never regret getting the Contender, though.

When I shot silhouette in the 80s, I had one chambered in 7mm IHMSA International. Very accurate and I still have it.
