H&K P30 variants..

I might have to hit HK-PRO for an answer to this question, but does anyone have a clue which variant is which of the P30?

Basically all I want is a P30 .40 S&W DA/SA w/ hammer drop or "decocker" and those yellowish glow sights. Prefer no manual safety, but a safety lever on the left side of frame would be fine. I don't want a manual safety on the right side of the frame...I'm right handed.

Was at Cabelas looking at various P30s, all Ambi safety models...

HK is very confusing..

What you are looking for is the P30 v3. The safety-equipped models are designated P30S or P30LS. The variants straight from the manufacturer: http://www.heckler-koch.com/en/military/products/pistols/p30/p30p30s/overview.html

I too had trouble finding the "right" P30, I knew which one I wanted and every store I went to had at least one or two in stock but they were never the right variant.

As Sergei said, you want the V3 P30 in .40S&W. All the other versions are LEM or DAO IIRC, and you definitely don't want an "S" model.
