I couldn't find a photo thread of snubnose revolvers here so I thought I would start one.

I'd post my Charter Arm .38 and Ruger LCR 357, but I'd be embarrassed doing that with those beautiful guns already posted. I love the old guns.

Need more Colts, but I do have this little DS with real MOP factory grips

Might as well add a Dan Wesson

Yup sold the Fitz a while ago. The guy I sold it to had something to do with the Bonnie and Clyde museum I think. I talked to him a couple of times. I believe he was intending to have it engraved. I'd love to see a picture of it if he ever has that done.

TennJed,

That nickel Detective Special is gorgeous. What year is that from?
The guys over at thecoltforum would drool all over that.

Oh yeah someone mentioned Charter Arms. I forgot to post he one I carry everyday

The good folks here and at the Colt forum helped me figure it out when I first got it. Can't remember the exact year off the top of my head this morning, but it was mid 30s. Along with real factory mother of pearl grips, it has original factory nickel

Here are my "sisters",,,

Velma and Velda,,,

VelmaVeldaWood.jpg

Velda is a square-butt Model 34 in .22 LR,,,
I named her after Mike Hammers secretary.

Velma is a round butt Model 36 in .38 Special,,,
I named her after my oh-so-beautiful sister.

The rubber "galoshes" are Pachmayer Compac grips,,,
The interesting thing is that even though one is for square-butt and the other for round -butt,,,
Their external dimensions and shape are identical so now both guns feel the same when I shoot them.

I had looked for round-to-square conversion wood grips and never found any,,,
The Compacs were simply a happy accident that they worked out that way.

Nice sisters. I like the compac "stocks" on my 642, didn't know they felt the same on a square butt...I 'll have to remember that.

Here's another one. They keep falling out of my jacket pockets. Flat latch pre-36 Chiefs Special from about 1957

Like an idiot I traded or sold all my old Colt and Smith snubbies so I don't have anything like these nice treasures posted above. So here is my S&W M65.
