I was wondering has anyone done a mod on their PPM to make it auto return so you don't have to fiddle with the handle when loading faster. I'd imagine you could set it up to be very much like the Auto Disk or Pro Auto disk with minimal effort but I can't find any pictures or anything of anyone who has done so.

It's called a "Universal Charging Die" part number 90273. It will work with rifle or pistol cartridges. but does not expand the cases. It is chain operated so it works on the Pro-1000or the Load Master only.

I do not think it would be too difficult to rig a return spring on it for use with the classic cast turret.

No way to get an expander plug in that thing? I guess I'll have to try and rig something up with the adapter for the regular charging die with expander plug.

Replace the chain with a tension spring to the rear mounting bolt of your single stage press and it works fine

I was loading some 300 Black outs with RL-7. For those I usually use the LEE PPM.
My RCBS Uniflow kinda acts like a coffee grinder with extruded powders.

Usually I just pull the case out and charge it with the PPM from the stand and the reinsert the case and continue.

I have also installed the PPM on top of the universal charging die by removing the top nut and screwing the PPM onto it.
The threads are not a match so was sure this would not be a permanent solution.

I had seen a company that makes a replacement nut for the charging die That has the proper threading. But they cost a bit.

I may also try the LEE automatic charging die one of these day. But I have not used one yet so cant comment on its function.

Any hooo. While I was looking at it. I wondered. " Would the powder drop just fit in the top of the funnel adapter?"

Yes it does.

This seems to work just fine. Did have to put left hand on the top of the measure to hold it stable while dropping. But it works just fine.

But I had also found these. I will be ordering one, as soon as I catch up on a few projects.
