This Colt was given to me. I didn't do that damage and neither did the previous owner. It may not be a looker but it sure does shoot!

With all these clean snubbies showing, I feel bad about my dirty little .41 mag. Please excuse the filth, I just got back from the range.

A couple of my favorite snubbies. The first one is a highly polished Model 649 which conceals and handles nicely with the Tyler T-Grip adapter. The second one is a Model 638 which I picked up a couple of years ago when I wanted to carry something a little lighter in the summer months.

These are great CCW options. Maybe the lightest snubby out there ? A little snappy with .357s but it runs great on .38s ....

S&W 340Sc .... with XS front sight, Apex trigger kit, and Crimson Trace grips....

Aluminum Taurus 85. Yes, the grip medallions say "Rossi." The big plastic grip the Taurus came with interfered with retention in my upside-down shoulder holster, which depends on the back of the trigger guard as a ledge to keep the gun in place. If any 85s were made with small grips I didn't find any, so I found some Rossi grips in my parts box that mounted in much the same way and trimmed off all the overhanging bits. This is before sanding and polyurethaning the modified grips.

My snubnose journey

My very first snub nose at age 23. A cut down Army Special .32-20:scrutiny:
Bought it out of one of those flea market vendors cases, the flat glasstop ones piled high with junk...it was under a pile of broken watches.

I have a barrel for it that I'm going to have a smith up the street put on it when tax returns come in.

Here is the second snub nose I acquired, my first brand new gun, a .357 magnum Ruger sp101

Found this treasure in a pawn shop for dirt cheap. One terrible home cold blue job later, I had a slightly less ugly .44 special Charter bulldog pug

Then I picked up this Colt Agent .38spcl. Funny thing is, it has a steel frame.

I was in the LGS last year picking up a model 10 I had transferred, when I spotted this in the display case, on consignment for $350. Well, I walked out of there with one more gun than I was planning to.

And the latest, it actually packs quiet well, for a .44 magnum.
